Edmonton Oilers' Connor McDavid, Leon Draisaitl, Evan Bouchard Achieve Rare NHL Scoring Feat

The Edmonton Oilers' high-powered offense has once again etched its name into the NHL record books, as Connor McDavid, Leon Draisaitl, and Evan Bouchard have collectively achieved a scoring milestone that few teams have ever reached.

Bouchard joined his superstar teammates at the 30-point plateau on Thursday, recording a goal and an assist to become the third Oiler to hit the mark this season. McDavid paced the attack with a four-point outburst, while Draisaitl contributed two points in the same contest.

The defenseman's achievement carries additional historical weight: Bouchard is now just the sixth blueliner in the NHL's modern era (since 1943-44) to score at least 10 goals within his first 17 games of a season.

Edmonton's trio has accomplished something only two other franchises have managed in the last half-century. The Oilers are the third team since 1974-75 to have three players become the league's first three outright 30-point scorers in a single campaign, joining the 1995-96 Pittsburgh Penguins and the 1979-80 Los Angeles Kings.

Key Analysis

McDavid continues to set the offensive pace with his elite playmaking and scoring, while Draisaitl remains a consistent force alongside him. Bouchard's production from the back end has provided Edmonton with an additional dimension, making the Oilers' attack one of the most formidable in the league. The team's power play has also been instrumental in its success, and if the trio sustains this pace, more records could fall.
