Draymond Green Ejected After Chaotic Scuffle with Suns' Maluach and Brooks

In a heated matchup at Chase Center on Monday night, Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green was ejected after being assessed two technical fouls during a chaotic sequence against the Phoenix Suns.

The altercation began with 10 minutes remaining in the third quarter when Green was called for a foul on Suns big man Khaman Maluach on an inside basket. Green had fallen to the floor, and Maluach appeared to make contact with him while entering the paint.

Following the foul call, Green grabbed the 7-footer and threw him to the ground. As Maluach lay on his back on the baseline, Green began walking toward him. Suns forward Dillon Brooks then rushed in from outside the 3-point line and locked arms with Green, prompting players, referees, and security to separate the two.

After a review, Green was given a technical foul for throwing Maluach down, and both Green and Brooks received double technical fouls. Green's two technicals triggered an automatic ejection.

Brooks, who led the league in technical fouls last season with 17, was also involved in a similar incident on Friday when he received a flagrant 2 and was ejected in Phoenix's home loss to the Denver Nuggets.

Key Analysis

The ejection marks another chapter in Green's contentious on-court history, while Brooks' involvement highlights his reputation as a physical instigator. The Suns, already dealing with disciplinary issues, will need to address Brooks' technical foul tendency as the season progresses.
