Dodgers' Miguel Rojas Awaits Back Injury Verdict Ahead of NLCS Clash with Brewers

The Los Angeles Dodgers are set to face the Milwaukee Brewers in the National League Championship Series, with Game 1 scheduled for 5:00 p.m. PDT on Sunday at American Family Field in Milwaukee.

Before the series begins, Dodgers manager Dave Roberts addressed the status of injured infielder Miguel Rojas. According to Bill Plunkett of the Orange County Register/Southern California Newspaper Groups, Roberts said Rojas had imaging done on his back injury, but the results were not definitive. Rojas is currently receiving treatment, and the team will monitor how he handles the flight and a workout in Milwaukee on Monday before deciding whether to include him on the NLCS roster.

Rojas sustained the back injury during Game 3 of the National League Division Series against the Atlanta Braves at Truist Park, forcing him to exit the game early.

The 37-year-old infielder is expected to retire at the conclusion of this season, capping a 13-year major league career. During the 2025 regular season, he batted .267/.312/.391 with four home runs and 23 RBI across 105 games. In the playoffs so far, he has gone 1-for-4 with a double and a strikeout.

Rojas originally broke into the majors with the Dodgers in 2014. After the 2015 season, he played for the Miami Marlins from 2015 to 2022 before rejoining the Dodgers prior to the 2023 season. Over his big-league career, he has accumulated 20.0 bWAR and a .677 OPS with 61 home runs and 386 RBI. In 22 postseason games, he owns a .639 OPS with two home runs and three RBI.

One of the most memorable moments of Rojas's career came in Game 7 of last year's World Series, when he hit a game-tying home run off Toronto Blue Jays right-hander Jeff Hoffman in the ninth inning.
