The Dallas Cowboys are set to travel to South America for their Week 3 matchup against the Baltimore Ravens in Brazil. Dallas enters the game with momentum after securing their first victory of the 2026 season against the Washington Commanders, while Baltimore aims to bounce back from a Week 2 defeat to the New Orleans Saints.
With the international showdown approaching, here are three Cowboys facing significant pressure against the Ravens.
Dee Winters
Rookie Jaishawn Barham started in Week 2 while DeMarvion Overshown was sidelined, and the young linebacker delivered an impressive performance. His strong start to his career is reflected in his Pro Football Focus grades: an overall mark of 84.8, an 80 in run defense, and an 83.4 in coverage, ranking third, fifth, and seventh among NFL linebackers, respectively.
Conversely, veteran Dee Winters has struggled, posting grades of 43.5 overall, 41.9 in run defense, and 52.5 in coverage. Those numbers place him 64th, 67th, and 51st among the 71 qualified linebackers league-wide.
Head coach Brian Schottenheimer stated on Wednesday that Overshown has a "low probability" of playing this week, though the expectation is he won't miss more than two games. Winters must elevate his play or risk being relegated to a backup role once Overshown returns.
Shavon Revel
Shavon Revel has been the third cornerback for Dallas this season, seeing fewer snaps than DaRon Bland and Cobie Durant on the outside. However, that could change in Week 3, as Durant is dealing with a hamstring injury that jeopardizes his availability.
If Durant is unable to play, Revel will step into a prominent role opposite Bland. To demonstrate he deserves a larger role moving forward, Revel needs to perform at a high level. Even a stellar outing won't propel him past Durant on the depth chart, given the veteran's strong play this season, but Revel could eventually surpass Bland.
Christian Parker
Defensive coordinator Christian Parker appears on this list for the second consecutive week, as the defense still awaits a breakout performance. While Dallas allowed 20 points against Washington—an improvement from Week 1—the effort was aided by fortunate breaks.
The Commanders should have scored two additional touchdowns: officials botched a call on one potential score, and Washington narrowly missed another on a trick play that would have succeeded with a better pass. Furthermore, the Commanders moved the ball with ease both on the ground and through the air, and Jayden Daniels caused problems with his legs before suffering an injury.
Questions also linger about whether Parker's scheme suits Quinnen Williams, who has been solid but not spectacular over two games. Parker faces a daunting challenge against a potent Ravens offense in Week 3, a test that will reveal much about the state of Dallas' defense. If Parker and the Cowboys fail to rise to the occasion, confidence in the defensive coordinator will erode further.
