Chris Mullin, the Hall of Famer, recently shared his thoughts on the standout young players in the league, and he didn't hold back his enthusiasm for Cam Boozer. Mullin expressed that Boozer has been a significant surprise and has performed exceptionally well, even recording a triple-double already. "Cam Boozer has been, I mentioned that what a big surprise," Mullin said. "He has been really, really good, really impressive."
Mullin also singled out Memphis's Ty Jerome for his stellar play, noting that Jerome has been a pleasant surprise with his great basketball. "AJ Dybantsa started on the injured list because of his ankle, but he's really impressive," Mullin remarked.
While Mullin hasn't yet seen Darryn Peterson play in Utah, he is familiar with Peterson's game from his time at Kansas and considers him a talented player as well. "I know him; I watched him in Kansas, and he's a talented player as well," Mullin said.
Overall, Mullin is impressed by the depth of talent in this rookie class and the significant roles these young players are taking on. "This rookie class is really talented, and all those guys, those top guys we mentioned, their teams are really relying on them to help them win, and they got big-time roles, and they're coming through," he explained. "So, it's been impressive."
