Carter Bryant has had an interesting 2026 NBA Summer League: the San Antonio Spurs suffered a blowout loss to the Atlanta Hawks but followed up with a blowout win against the New York Knicks.
He has been the best player across both games, but the second game against the Knicks was truly a showcase that he might be better than the Summer League now.
Considering he is still a young player, that just goes to show that his NBA experience from his rookie season has helped him develop.
The Spurs might pull Carter Bryant from the Summer League Since Bryant is playing so well, it seems the Spurs are ready to take him out of the Summer League squad.
They might want to keep winning, but in the bigger picture, the Summer League does not matter anymore.
Bryant might want to keep playing because the last time he played a game before Summer League was in Game 5 of the NBA Finals.
If he wants to keep sharpening his skills, he might play one more game or even two.
MORE: Victor Wembanyama's contract decision did not surprise Carter Bryant Spurs Summer League head coach Corliss Williamson seems like he wants to keep Bryant around, but at the end of the day, it will be the Spurs' call whether or not he keeps playing.
"As of now, we're talking about it.
We started off saying he's going to play two games, so he's played two.
The second game was a lot better, and we saw what we needed to," Williamson said about Bryant after blowing the Knicks out.
It will certainly be an interesting Summer League story to follow because Bryant can be one of the biggest names in Las Vegas.
However, it seems it is likely that he will be sitting alongside his Spurs teammates watching the games sooner rather than later.
