Now, Dawn Staley seems to be crediting a key South Carolina Gamecocks staff member for the success Cardoso is having.
After Cardoso said a halftime text from Staley told her it was going to be one of those nights where everything worked, the Gamecocks head coach refused to take full credit, instead giving it to her associate head coach, Lisa Boyer.

This comes after Dawn Staley already reacted to Cardosos moment publicly earlier, showing her excitement as one of her own made WNBA history.
