An Original Six showdown is set for Saturday afternoon as the Boston Bruins (9-4-1) play host to the Chicago Blackhawks (4-9-0) at TD Garden. The Bruins return to home ice after a challenging road stretch, eager to halt their recent slide and get back into the win column.
During that road trip, Boston managed just two goals in defeats to the Carolina Hurricanes and St. Louis Blues. Meanwhile, Chicago enters the contest following a 4-1 loss to the Detroit Red Wings on Thursday and is hoping to conclude its road trip on a positive note.
NESN will provide live coverage of the game, with puck drop scheduled for 1 p.m. ET. The matchup will also be available to stream on NESN 360 and Fubo, which offers a free trial for new subscribers.
In pregame lineup news, Adam Pellerin reported that Michael DiPietro will start in net for Boston. The game marks another chapter in the historic rivalry between the two franchises.
