Browns Host Ravens with First Place in AFC North on the Line

The Cleveland Browns will look to return to winning form on Sunday when they host the Baltimore Ravens at Huntington Bank Field in downtown Cleveland. What was anticipated as a clash of division leaders lost some luster after the Browns fell to the New York Jets last week, but a victory would still vault Cleveland into first place in the AFC North. The Browns currently hold tiebreakers over both the Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers due to wins against each team.

Baltimore arrives riding a three-game winning streak, most recently an overtime triumph over Atlanta orchestrated by backup quarterback Tyler Huntley. Huntley will make another start this week as Lamar Jackson remains sidelined with an ankle injury. In three consecutive wins filling in for Jackson, Huntley has guided an offense averaging 33.7 points per game, so Cleveland's defense may not catch a break on Sunday.

That defense continues to deal with injuries. Defensive tackles Kalia Davis and Mike Hall Jr. will both miss the game, while defensive end Derek Barnett, defensive tackle Mason Graham, and linebacker Carson Schwesinger are listed as questionable.

A Final Quote

Defensive coordinator Mike Rutenberg on the plan to slow down the Ravens: "We're going to be an attack front. It's rooted in this Cleveland Browns defense. We're going to jump out of our shoes, and we're going to try and play on their side of the line of scrimmage no matter what. And that's the basis of this front. That's why I always call it the engine. And like I tell you guys every week, we go as they go, and I'm excited about the way they're going."
