The questions aren't really about the specialists this year, although Bojorquez is coming off his worst season in his Browns tenure.

Szmyt's established himself in his first season with the Browns, despite a rocky beginning, as a reliable kicker.

Same with Sunahara, who received All-Pro votes.

The questions for new special teams coordinator Byron Storer are about who will return kicks and punts.

Well, the latter feels like it's pretty much answered by rookie KC Concepcion.

The kickoff return specialist has a variety of options, including Malachi Corley and Dylan Sampson, the two leaders from a year ago.

Cleveland Browns special teamer to keep an eye on during 2026 training camp Szmyt was the unknown quantity coming into training camp in 2025.

He was still unknown when he got the job over Dustin Hopkins at the end of the preseason.

Szmyt's first season couldn't have started any more ignominious, with him missing a critical PAT and potential go-ahead field goal in the opener against the Cincinnati Bengals.

It ended with a flourish a game-winning field goal to beat the Bengals.

Between those games, he only missed two more kicks, while also kicking a game-winner against the Green Bay Packers.

As training camp 2026 gets ready to begin, Szmyt gets a chance to back up that first season.

How do Browns special teams emerge from 2026 training camp? Szmyt, Bojorquez and Sunahara assure the Browns aren't breaking in someone new along with a new coordinator.

Concepcion will have to deal with the challenge of being a rookie adjusting to fielding punts from NFL punters.

There's also the question of who ultimately ends up fielding kicks.

How Storer utilizes the kickoff rule will also be interesting to see unfold, but that won't really show itself until the opener.
