In the first two games of the National League Championship Series, the Milwaukee Brewers have squared off against starting pitchers Tarik Skubal and Yoshinobu Yamamoto.
After securing a narrow 2-1 victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 1, the Brewers knocked Yamamoto out of Game 2 by plating three runs in the first three innings, ultimately cruising to a 7-4 win and a 2-0 series advantage.
Milwaukee's standout performer was William Contreras, who collected three hits in four at-bats, including a home run, and drove in three runs. His efforts pushed the Brewers to within two wins of their first World Series berth since 1982.
The series now moves to Los Angeles, where the two-time defending World Series champions are desperate to avoid falling into a 3-0 hole.
