Brewers Fans Celebrate Historic World Series Berth After Sweeping Dodgers

For the first time in over four decades, the Milwaukee Brewers are headed to the World Series, and their fanbase is savoring every moment. The Brewers secured their spot by sweeping the Los Angeles Dodgers, the reigning back-to-back World Series champions, in a thrilling 6-4 win on October 15 at American Family Field.

Jalen Ralls-Franklin, a Milwaukee resident, recalled attending his first Brewers game with his mother, a memory that involved him getting sick from overindulging. But now, watching the Brewers clinch a World Series berth has become his most cherished recollection. "I'm feeling pretty amazing right now," he said during the watch party at American Family Field.

The Dodgers jumped out to an early 4-0 lead, but the Brewers roared back with six unanswered runs to secure the victory. Ralls-Franklin said he never doubted the team's ability to rally.

Rayna Schuh, another Milwaukee resident, admitted she was less confident when the Crew trailed by four. However, the Brewers' comeback won her over, and she now considers this her favorite moment as a fan. The only thing that could surpass it, she noted, would be a World Series championship.

Trin Warner, from East Troy, said he screamed so loudly he developed a headache. The moment felt surreal to him, especially given the Brewers' recent postseason disappointments. In 2025, the team was swept by the Dodgers and, in his words, "basically humiliated, made fun of and poked at." Now, Warner sees it as sweet revenge. "This makes everything worth it honestly," he said. "It made it so much sweeter that we did it with the sweep."

Warner's earliest Brewers memories date back to 2008, when the team clinched its first playoff berth in 26 years. Despite some tough seasons since, the Brewers have been dominant this year, setting a single-season win record, earning the top seed in the playoffs, and winning the National League Central Division once again.

Emma and Jacob Metzer spoke with the Journal Sentinel before Game 4 concluded. Emma credited her grandmother for introducing her to the games. "We lost her a couple years ago," Emma said. "She would be absolutely in love with this Brewers team right now." She added, "We know she is cheering with Ueck right now." Longtime Brewers radio announcer Bob Uecker passed away on January 16, 2025.

It remains uncertain who the Brewers will face in the World Series. The Cleveland Guardians and Tampa Bay Rays are only three games into their seven-game series, with the Guardians leading 2-1. Ralls-Franklin said the opponent doesn't matter. When asked who will win the World Series, fans' answers were predictable. "I like us," Ralls-Franklin said. "In every single situation. We proven that we can beat any team. We've exercised our demons."
