In the 2025 National League Championship Series, the Milwaukee Brewers faced the Los Angeles Dodgers and were swept in four games. However, after securing a narrow 2-1 victory at home in Game 1, the Brewers ensured that a sweep would not occur again.
Despite the low score and a starting pitching matchup between Tarik Skubal and Jacob Misiorowski, neither ace delivered a dominant performance. Both were removed by the end of the fifth inning, having already allowed runs, and the bullpens held the opposition scoreless for the remainder of the game.
Milwaukee's offense came from Brice Turang and Luis Lara. Turang tied the game at 1 in the fourth inning with a solo home run, and Lara followed with an RBI single in the fifth that proved to be the game-winning hit.
Brewers fans are especially encouraged to see Turang's bat come alive for his first RBI of the MLB Playoffs, after he led Milwaukee with 100 RBI during the regular season.
