The Milwaukee Brewers will take another shot at eliminating the San Diego Padres in Game 4 of the National League Division Series on Wednesday, carrying a 2-1 advantage in the best-of-five matchup.
After Milwaukee secured victories in the first two games at home, San Diego kept its season alive with a win in Game 3 on Tuesday at Petco Park, ensuring the series would extend to at least one more contest.
Should the Padres come out on top again, the NLDS would shift back to Milwaukee for a winner-take-all Game 5.
The Brewers have dropped 12 straight postseason road games, matching a Major League Baseball record. Additionally, both Milwaukee and San Diego are among the five MLB franchises that have never captured a World Series championship.
The victor of this NLDS will move on to face either the Atlanta Braves or Los Angeles Dodgers in the NL Championship Series, which is scheduled to begin on Sunday, Oct. 11.
