Trinidad Chambliss was the talk of the town following the 2025 season, as he fought and ultimately earned a sixth(!) year of eligibility to play again in 2026 instead of entering the NFL Draft.
The appeals process ended up in the Mississippi Supreme Court, where a judge overruled the NCAA's decision.
This has played a major part in his draft stock, but where does he sit now? Let's talk about it.
Height: 6'1" Weight: 200 lbs Recruiting rank: Zero-star recruit in 2021 Hometown: Grand Rapids, Michigan Games watched: Georgia (x2), Oklahoma, Tulane, Miami Strengths: Special speed at the quarterback position Eyes stay downfield when escaping the pocket His Sugar Bowl performance against Georgia was special, throwing for 362 yards and two touchdowns Drops deep balls in the bucket for his receiver Arm strength is better than perceived, but not near the top of the class Weaknesses: Seems allergic to sliding, almost seeks contact when rushing Needs to trust his pocket more.
Gets happy feet when pressured and bails early May not know that there is more than one read Why was he so insistent on staying in college? Trinidad Chambliss is going to be one of the most polarizing players in College Football this season.
It will be hard to separate the player from the antics, as we will never know why he wanted to stay in college so badly, when he likely would have been a top-50 pick last season.
It's for that reason he is much lower on my board, as I would take him in the fifth round, and no earlier.
