Ferran Torres and Stefan Savich were spotted wrestling each other during the La Liga battle between Barcelona and Atlético Madrid. During that fight, however, one fan noticed a peculiarity in Savich’s grip on Torres.

Barcelona dominated the early exchanges with a high-pressure clash that forced Atlético to make mistakes. After 20 minutes, Ousmane Dembele gave Barcelona the well-deserved lead. He sent an assist for the Spanish youngster Gabi on the first shot and past Jan Oblak.

Atlético were out in the game but didn’t look cool in front of goal. Dembele, on the other hand, missed two of his good chances to keep the door open for a comeback for his Spanish rivals. Barcelona keeper Marc-André ter Stegen conclusively saved Antoine Greismann’s shot late in the second half to deny the hosts.

Two minutes into stoppage time, Torres and Savich battled for the ball. However, the two continued to fight after the ball ran out. Both players’ aggression was spotted by the referee and they were sent off for violent behavior. Barcelona secured three points and won 1-0.

Savic forced Torres out at the halfway line, and as play continued, the duo fell to the ground. Spanish ace Torres appeared to be pulling on Savic’s short-cropped hair. apparently grabbed Torres by the crotch area, then headlocked him. One Twitter user even accused Savic of trying to keep Torres from giving Luis Enrique a grandchild. He was alluding to a relationship between Enrique’s daughter and Torres. “Luis Enrique is trying to avoid getting grandchildren.. This guy must hate Barça so much.”

With three points, Xavi’s Barcelona have created a three-point cushion between them and top La Liga rivals Real Madrid. Blaugranas also has his 14 points ahead of Diego Simeone’s fifth-placed Atlético.
