The Chicago Bulls have been named after rumors and have been in the news lately for all the wrong reasons.
With talent piling up in the Eastern Conference this season, the Bulls struggled to make a name for themselves as they entered Friday night’s game against the Philadelphia 76ers with a 17-21 record.
There’s been a lot of talk about what the franchise will do leading up to the February trade deadline, but they’ve picked up some wins lately, and won again on Friday in Philadelphia.
With the Bulls beating the 76ers 126-112 and winning seven of their last 10 games, Zach LaVine is really starting to find his footing.
LaVine tallied 41 points, the ninth time in his last 11 games to surpass 20 points.
His 11 3-shooters against Philadelphia were the second-most for a Bulls player, behind LaVine’s 13 in 2019. He is the only player in the team’s history.
Even more impressive in his 11-13 shooting performance from the Deep on Friday is the fact that Lavigne joins Stephen Curry, the greatest 3-point shooter in NBA history. He is the only player in NBA history to have made at least 11 threes. 80% shot success rate from three-point range.
LaVine, who currently has 105 3-pointers made in the season, ranks first on the Bulls in 3-pointers made and 13th in the NBA in 3-pointers made.
Whenever Stephen Curry is mentioned in regards to 3-point shooting, you are doing the right thing and finally finding his 3-point shot. Zach LaVine is hot at the right time for the Chicago Bulls.
He will look to build on his hot shooting night next Saturday, January 7, at home against the Utah Jazz.
