Yankees announced on sunday reached an agreement on a one-year contract with graver torres, to avoid salary arbitration. They certainly hope he can take over as a hard-hitting rebound in 2023, but they’re hoping he’ll return to overall form as a worthy addition to the top of the lineup.
Most of the expected roster prospects are Torres hitting leadoff for the Yanks this season, Aaron Judge, Anthony Rizzo, Giancarlo Stanton, Josh Donaldson, Harrison Bader, Aaron Hicks, Oswald Peraza When Jose TrevinoIts lineup remained largely unchanged over the winter, finishing second in scoring among all 30 MLB teams last year, behind only the Dodgers. Of course, Torres won’t necessarily join the 2023 line-up. The Yankees are known to have considered the possibility of trading an infielder this winter.
