WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury has expressed renewed interest in facing former UFC world champion Francis Ngannou.<\/p>\n
Last year, Ngannou, the latest fighter to hold the UFC heavyweight title, asked for a boxing match with Fury.<\/p>\n
The dangerous puncher was ringside at London’s Wembley Stadium last April to watch Fury’s knockout victory over Dillian White.<\/p>\n
After the fight, Fury and Ngannou sat side by side to discuss the possibility of a cross-sport boxing match.<\/p>\n
However, UFC President Dana White has thrown water on the idea and openly rejected the Fury-Ngannou scenario.<\/p>\n
Last week, it was revealed that Ngannou and the UFC have officially parted ways after failing to reach a new contract agreement.<\/p>\n
The UFC has stripped Ngannou of his title and released him from contractual obligations.<\/p>\n
Fury is currently negotiating a undisputed showdown with WBO, IBF, IBO and WBA heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk.<\/p>\n
The Fury vs. Usyk showdown will likely take place somewhere in the Middle East or London in April.<\/p>\n
Somewhere along the way, Fury is open to the idea of \u200b\u200bplaying against Ngannou, and he has some interesting stipulations.<\/p>\n
\u201cFrances Ngannou, I know you have expired your contract with the UFC,\u201d Fury told Second Out. “If you want to make a lot of money, come meet the ‘Gypsy King’ and put up a big, big fight for the baddest midfielder on the planet.<\/p>\n
