They&#8217;re the jerseys of players that die-hard fans know but casual fans might not, and underground that the mainstream hasn&#8217;t caught on to yet. &#8216;s hit song and a silent fan favorite only real heads know&#8230; <em>hipster<\/em> Jersey.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<div class=\"Styles__MarkdownContainer-dxqlie-0 eJdqRG\">\n<p>So today we&#8217;re taking a look at each team&#8217;s hipster jersey contenders. Remember: You were with these guys before you were <em>How nice<\/em> Being with these guys.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<div class=\"Styles__MarkdownContainer-dxqlie-0 eJdqRG\">\n<p><strong>Blue Jays: Danny Jansen (No. 9)<\/strong><br \/>of <em>other<\/em> The Blue Jays&#8217; young, exciting catcher, alongside Alejandro Kirk, was the subject of trade rumors this offseason. Did you notice that he had the highest slugging percentage on this team last year?<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<div class=\"Styles__MarkdownContainer-dxqlie-0 eJdqRG\">\n<p><strong>Rays: Pete Fairbanks (No. 29)<\/strong><br \/>you can make that argument <em>every day<\/em> The Rays jersey is a hipster jersey, but Fairbanks is the best Rays pitcher ever to face the Rays.  The 29-year-old was a force in his 2020 postseason for the team, and was flawless last year when he was healthy (1.13 ERA in 24 games).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<div class=\"Styles__MarkdownContainer-dxqlie-0 eJdqRG\">\n<p><strong>Red Sox: Matt Barnes (#32)<\/strong><br \/>Did you know this right-hander has been in the organization since 2011? And now, the third-most games pitched in franchise history (429), the Connecticut native has seen all kinds of changes in the Reds&#8217; Sox over the past decade or so&#8230;just like the fans.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<div class=\"Styles__MarkdownContainer-dxqlie-0 eJdqRG\">\n<p><strong>Yankees: Harrison Bader (No. 22)<\/strong><br \/>An argument can be made that a Yankee can&#8217;t wear a hipster jersey, but by the end of his first full season in the Bronx, every niece and nephew who is a Yankees fan represents Vader. You should be ahead of the times.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<div class=\"Styles__MarkdownContainer-dxqlie-0 eJdqRG\">\n<p><strong>Guardian: Triston Mackenzie (No.24)<\/strong><br \/>25 year old right handed is not <em>very<\/em> Still put everything together. But he intends to, and probably soon. If he gets away, he could be as much a face of this franchise as Jose Ramirez.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<div class=\"Styles__MarkdownContainer-dxqlie-0 eJdqRG\">\n<p><strong>Royals: Vinny Pascantino (No. 9)<\/strong><br \/>Possibly the hipster jersey of all in the league, it&#8217;s fitting for a slugger whose stellar rookie campaign lived up to the &#8220;Italian Nightmare&#8221; moniker. Even if you&#8217;re not a fan of the Royals, you should get one of these him.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<div class=\"Styles__MarkdownContainer-dxqlie-0 eJdqRG\">\n<p><strong>Tigers: Akil Badu (No.60)<\/strong><br \/>Think of this as a kind of post-hype sleeper version of the hipster jersey. <em>very<\/em> It was cool to have this jersey two years ago when Baddoo went from being a Rule 5 draft pick to being a key contributor. Just in time it&#8217;s the perfect time to come back.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<div class=\"Styles__MarkdownContainer-dxqlie-0 eJdqRG\">\n<p><strong>Twin: Griffin Jacks (No.22)<\/strong><br \/>Don&#8217;t be surprised if he picks up all the team&#8217;s saves by the end of the season. And this is such a cool name to have on the back of your shirt.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<div class=\"Styles__MarkdownContainer-dxqlie-0 eJdqRG\">\n<p><strong>Angels: Shohei Otani (No.17)<\/strong><br \/>He doesn&#8217;t fit the rest of this list, but sorry, this is Ohtani.
