According to Reid, the school refused to give him the resources he needed to succeed.<\/p>\n<p>Bethune-Cookman first chose to hire Reed in late December. Since the former Ravens, safety has been a priority in school facilities and conditions. <\/p>\n<p>Reid initially took the position because of Deion Sanders&#8217; success at Jackson State University. After Reed released his latest update, Sanders gave him advice based on his take on the situation.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"m-in-content-ad-row l-inline mm-in-content-ad-row--in-content not-size-b not-size-c not-size-d\" data-ad-group=\"in_content-0\"\/>\n<p>&#8220;We talked about this, we knew the structure, we knew the order, we knew how it would play out,&#8221; Saunders told Reid. I know what you are feeling and I know what you are going through and you need to understand that God has a time and place for you I know you love books, how you feel about their children and I know you don&#8217;t want to leave those children.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"m-in-content-ad-row l-inline mm-in-content-ad-row--in-content not-size-a not-size-b not-size-c\" data-ad-group=\"in_content-0\"\/>\n<aside class=\"m-in-content-ad-row l-inline mm-in-content-ad-row--in-content not-size-a not-size-b not-size-d\" data-ad-group=\"in_content-0\"\/>\n<aside class=\"m-in-content-ad-row l-inline mm-in-content-ad-row--in-content not-size-a not-size-c not-size-d\" data-ad-group=\"in_content-0\"\/>\n<aside class=\"m-in-content-ad-row l-inline mm-in-content-ad-row--in-content not-size-b not-size-c not-size-d\" data-ad-group=\"in_content-1\"\/>\n<p>Despite his desire to see the HBCU succeed, Sanders told Reed he understood why this decision had to be made.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am praying for you now because I know this is the hardest thing you have ever had to do in your life. I know it&#8217;s hard, I know you don&#8217;t want to hear it, but sometimes in life you have to walk away,&#8221; Sanders continued.
