A key part of that preparation process is digging into the farm systems of all 30 of his MLB organizations to uncover the mighty producer&#8217;s next crop. Below are the top five 1B prospects that could pop up in Fantasy Manager in 2023. Also like Marvis, Soderstrom skyrocketed his level through his three farms in 2022, where he hit 29 homers and posted . 825 OPS in 556 total at-bats.<\/p>\n<p>Soderstrom was drafted into the A&#8217;s as a teenage catcher in the first round of the 2020 draft. His bat has far outpaced Glove&#8217;s progress, and after catching only balls in 2021, he spent more time at first base than at bat last year. This is positive for his MLB prospects, as his path to Biggs as a catcher could have been blocked by Shay Langeliers.The first baseman likely has his future in Oakland.<\/p>\n<p>So far, Soderstrom has played only nine games beyond Double-A. For what it&#8217;s worth, he batted . 297 on his 1st inning deep his drive in Triple-A Las Vegas last year, which spanned 38 at-bats.  The 21-year-old Soderstrom is likely to spend most of his playing time in 2023 with Triple-A.
