I got Eubank’s victory. Liam Smith is a good, solid, well-rounded pro. He is a top amateur, ABA title holder and comes from a boxing family. He’s been a professional for over 12 years now, lives life, works hard, has been in big fights, and is a former world champion, but gives a lot of size against Eubank.<\/p>\n

Eubank lost to me. He lost his split to Billy Joe Saunders, but it could have gone either way. So he’s not in a losing company, and he doesn’t have a losing mindset.<\/p>\n

I once trained with Liam Smith. He is a hard worker and trains very hard. He’s a tough fighter, especially when he launches that attack on you. He has great pressure, throws some great shots, and hits very hard. Liam won the battle.<\/p>\n

A lot of people would have preferred a younger fighter from Chris Eubank Jr., but I feel that experience comes at a cost.<\/p>\n

I’m very curious, but I can’t say it myself. I don’t think it will go very far – it’s going to be exciting.<\/p>\n

Eubank is very good when you step into his range. He can punch all day long. When you’re in that mixer with him, to that extent, he doesn’t stop punching.<\/p>\n

Liam is more than just a basic forward-type fighter. There is a lot of technique and skill in what he does.<\/p>\n

It’s really hard to pick a clear winner. Knowing both doesn’t mean one wins.<\/p>\n

I have a feeling Smith will win this fight. The interesting thing is that Smith doesn’t like to step back. Eubank is not someone to be bullied. he has that mindset. His way of thinking seems invincible. He’s mentally strong, so he’s not invincible.<\/p>\n

Both are very strong mentally. I don’t want to be bullied or pushed back. So I think it will be a heated battle.<\/p>\n

It’s a very even battle. But Smith has a little too much work-rate, and he might just be nicknamed the card.<\/p>\n

This timing could be right for Chris with his fitness, size and engine. So he makes up for his lack of boxing ability compared to Liam. He’s a good fighter, not a bad boxer, but he’s a better fighter than a boxer.<\/p>\n

So I think it’s all about size and timing.<\/p>\n

My guess is Liam Smith. I just have a smith edging it. You can see close combat. We don’t know which way it will fall, but we can already see Smith-Eubank 2 in the summer.<\/p>\n

Eubanks are as tough as old boots. He’s a fighter at heart. He got it when he was tough and in the trenches. I think one of the things he might struggle with is that he doesn’t have that much experience. It’s all about IQ and who can box the best.<\/p>\n
