(WXYZ) \u2014 The University of Michigan has fired co-offensive coordinator and quarterback coach Matt Weiss.<\/p>\n<p>The transfer will be two days after he goes on vacation. The dismissal was announced in a statement from Athletic Director Wade Manuel.<\/p>\n<div class=\"Quote\">\n<blockquote><p>After reviewing university policy, the sports department has withdrawn the appointment of co-offensive coordinator\/quarterback coach Matt Weiss.<\/p>\n<p>In accordance with university policy, we will not be making any further comments on this personnel matter.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Warde Manuel &#8211; Athletic Director, University of Michigan<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>On Friday, Weiss tweeted a statement, saying he was putting matters behind him and looking forward to getting back to the game he loves. <\/p>\n<p>In a statement to ESPN Tuesday night, university police said they were investigating a possible crime at Schembechler Hall, the school&#8217;s football facility.  ESPN said no one was specifically named in the statement, but a spokesperson said Weiss had not been around the team recently.<\/p>\n<p>The Associated Press reported last month at Schembechler Hall, where coach Jim Harbaugh and his staff have offices and practices for the Wolverines, during a three-day investigation by university police into reports of computer access crimes. reported that Weiss had been granted leave.<\/p>\n<p>A neighbor told ESPN last week that an unmarked car showed up at the joint attack coordinator&#8217;s house.
