And excitement builds for the Wildcat Boys’ soccer team as they prepare for their senior night game coming to Redlands at 5:30pm on Tuesday, January 31st.<\/p>\n
Two days later at 5:30 p.m., the Wildcat girls will host San Bernardino’s Cajon in a game that will also be played on REV’s new artificial turf installed in November.<\/p>\n
The permanent stand with about 2,500 seats on the home side and about 1,500 seats on the visitor side is…<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/article>\n<\/div>\n
Ron Kroetz, Assistant Principal at REV, said: “I want seniors to play at least one game on home ground.”<\/p>\n
REV players can’t wait.<\/p>\n
REV Junior Men’s Tate Whitmore said: \u201cWe have a great group of seniors who have dedicated so much to our program.<\/p>\n
Kroetz left the administration office on a recent weekday to show off the new turf in what will become a 4,000-seat stadium in the future.<\/p>\n
“Administration, teachers, and children are all excited,” Kroetz said. “These two children of his were walking there and I asked, ‘Where are you going?’ They wanted to see new fields. After that, I said, “What do you think?” And they said, ‘Man, that’s sick (impressive)'”<\/p>\n
REV opened in 1997 and has taken more than a quarter of a century to get here.<\/p>\n
Portable bleachers will be brought in until the stadium has permanent seats. Scoreboards and press boxes will be added later. What now exists, however, is green artificial turf with the Wildcat logo in the center and “REV” and “WILDCATS” printed on the opposite end zone.<\/p>\n
There is also a running track around the soccer field. As of last weekend, his nine lanes of the track were unpainted.<\/p>\n

While not as spectacular as the Los Angeles Galaxy, football teams are coming to Redlands. <\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/article>\n<\/div>\n
The main parking lot above is used for the stadium, as well as a smaller parking lot below. There are also several outdoor basketball courts next to the lower lot, which is used for football games, according to Clotz.<\/p>\n
For many long-time REV fans and casual observers, it’s almost unbelievable that REV would get a stadium in years to come.<\/p>\n
“Everyone I talk to about this happening says, ‘Oh, I’d believe it if I saw it,'” Kroetz said.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
