A contract with the Mets was worth over $300 million for him, but it would take more than that.<\/p>\n<p>MLB super agent Boras spoke to USA Today&#8217;s Bob Nightengale about his frustrations with Steve Cohen&#8217;s team.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I don&#8217;t understand the Mets,&#8221; Boras said.  \u201cI gave them all the information. I had four doctors talk to me. But the Mets were aware of this. They knew the Giants&#8217; opinion. So why did you negotiate?&#8221; <\/p>\n<p>The Post&#8217;s Dan Martin and John Heyman reported last weekend that ankle surgeon Dr. Robert Anderson was brought in to consult about the risk of correa. <\/p>\n<p>Boras continued to express frustration, saying the Mets offered him $157.5 million and a series of club options over six years. We cannot save him $100 million in CBT taxes or let him take all the risks behind an uninsured contract.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Ultimately, Mets GM Billy Eppler and owner Steve Cohen took over the deal.<\/p>\n<p>Despite this, Correa said he doesn&#8217;t have strong feelings for the Mets (or the Giants).<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I have no hard feelings towards either organization. I have nothing but respect for them,&#8221; Correa told The Athletic.  &#8220;Doctors have disagreements. That&#8217;s good. But God got me here with the Minnesota Twins.
