After nearly dropping a 19-point lead, the University of Hawaii men’s basketball team beat Northridge, Calif., 58-51 Monday night at Simplify Arena at the Stan Sheriff Center. <\/p>\n

The Rainbow Warriors improved to 14-4 overall and 5-1 in Big West games, while the Matadors slipped to 3-15 overall, including 0-7 in conference play.<\/p>\n

Kamaka Hepa’s 3-pointer gave Hawaii a 38-19 advantage with 18:20 remaining in the second half, but CSUN cut UH’s lead to 1 multiple times in the second half. 3:16 remaining. The Matadors then did not score as Hawaii put the game away with a free throw. <\/p>\n
