James tweeted some criticism on Monday that he believes deserves a fine. His tweet responded to fan conspiracy theories that the NBA was lining it up for the Lakers and was deliberately ignoring fouls against them. pointed out that he won the<\/p>\n
The Lakers held the ball in the final seconds of the game, trailing 113-112. Russell Westbrook chased Joel Embiid down the left flank. He attacked the basket but fell without a shot and the 76ers held on by one point.<\/p>\n

Somehow, the NBA didn’t agree, even with the replay benefits and accountability of the last two minutes report. A report released Monday declared that Embiid did not foul Westbrook.<\/p>\n
“Embiid (PHI) extended his arm slightly before retracting it, causing slight arm contact with Westbrook (LAL) during a driving shot attempt,” reads the L2M report.<\/p>\n
It’s a generous definition of “marginal arm contact,” a kind of response tailored to the conspiracy-minded NBA fan base. The league got this wrong on the floor and got it wrong again on the review. not good.<\/p>\n
This, predictably, upset Lakers fans and led to James coming on board. Another fan asked the tweet and video above, “Why isn’t this a huge scandal?” James just spoke out in his own Twitter response that didn’t challenge the original premise that the NBA came out to acquire the Lakers. It was<\/p>\n
