During 2023, he will exceed his six-year service period and qualify for his market open at the end of the season.<\/p>\n<p>Since his debut in 2017, he has established himself as a stable hitter. He has hit at least his 27 home runs each season, excluding his 10 in his shortened 2020 campaign and his 18 in his 50-game debut in 2017. . He has 148 career home runs, a .242\/.353\/.492 batting average, and a wRC+ of 125. He is not considered a particularly strong defender or baserunner.  According to FanGraphs, he&#8217;s never even fallen below his 2.0 in a full campaign thanks to a reliable offense.<\/p>\n<p>That mighty bat will boost his salary to $4.8 million in 2021 and qualify for arbitration for the first time. He reached $7.7 million last year and this year he&#8217;s at $12 million. That&#8217;s just short of MLBTR contributor Matt Swartz&#8217;s projection of his $12.6 million. The Phillies finally made it through the postseason last year, breaking a decade-long drought and advancing to the World Series.
