The New York Yankees are all over MLB’s hot stove thanks to a wealth of rumors about the future of Pittsburgh Pirates All-Star outfielder Brian Reynolds.<\/p>\n
But it’s not just left fielders that the Yankees need plugging. With the free agency market drying up, general manager Brian Cashman may have no choice but to trade.<\/p>\n

With Volpe and Peraza knocking on the door, it could be written on the wall for Torres, 26, who is heading into a comeback season in 2022 with a .257 batting average on 24 home runs.<\/p>\n
And keep in mind that Torres is a two-time All-Star and will be under the team’s control for two more seasons. He plans to become a free agent after the 2024 campaign.<\/p>\n
