Now that the regular season is over, let’s take a look at the rookies who made an immediate impact at the NFL level. From solid contributors to players already in the best positions in the league, it’s been an impressive season for first-year players.<\/p>\n

1. CB Sauce Gardner, New York Jets<\/strong><\/h3>\n
PFF Grade: 88.5<\/h5>\n

In addition to being one of the best rookies in the NFL, the fourth overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, he claims to be the best cornerback in football. The division is the most tied in the league. From 642 coverage snaps, he was targeted 73 times and for 344 yards allowed him only 33 receptions.<\/p>\n\n

2. RB Tyler Allgaier, Atlanta Falcons<\/strong><\/h3>\n
PFF grade: 86.7<\/h5>\n

Allgeier failed to attract the attention that Kenneth Walker and Dameon Pierce received throughout the year, but he quietly produced most of the season, accumulating 431 rushing yards in the final four games of the season. . He made his 51 missed tackles on carries. This was his second among rookies. Also, his 3.58 yards after contact per carry was the most of any rookie to stack his attempts at 100 or more rushes.<\/p>\n\n

3. WR Drake London, Atlanta Falcons<\/strong><\/h3>\n
PFF Grade: 83.2<\/h5>\n

The top three rookie wide receivers were incredibly close when it came to PFF grades, but London surpassed Garrett Wilson as he took fewer penalties. He ended his rookie year strong with 70 or more receiving yards in four of his games. That year, he recorded just his two drops from his 74 catchable targets.<\/p>\n
