The Miami Heat set the NBA record for most free throws made without mistakes on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

At home against the Oklahoma City Thunder, the Heat achieved an unprecedented 40-40 charity stripe and won 112-111. The record-breaking came in dramatic fashion, with Jimmy Butler scoring and-1 with his 12.9 seconds remaining, trailing by two points.<\/p>\n

After tying the game at 111-111, Butler made the final free throw for the win and the record. Thunder star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander finished the game without the opponent’s winner.<\/p>\n

The previous record holder was the Utah Jazz, who made 39 free throws without making a mistake on December 7, 1982. Interestingly, the Jazz lost to the Portland Trail Blazers that night.<\/p>\n

The majority of the Heat’s free throws came directly from Butler, who went 23-for-23 from the line on a 35-point night. He also recorded 7 rebounds, 4 assists, 4 steals, and 3 blocks while shooting 6-of-17 from the field.<\/p>\n

Other record contributors are Gabe Vincent (6-6), Jamal Kane (2-2), Max Strass (2-2), Victor Oladipo (2-2), Dwayne Dedmon (2-2) ) was. 2) had an eventful final day for reasons beyond obscure records.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
