Boxing superstar Anthony Joshua is reportedly set to fight Australia’s Demsey McKean later this year.<\/p>\n
Former unified heavyweight champion Joshua is planning a return to the top of the division and is said to have McKean in his sights.<\/p>\n
The Briton hasn’t fought since losing a rematch to Oleksandr Usyk last August.<\/p>\n

McKean is ranked in the top 10, undefeated in 22 professional fights, with 14 knockouts.<\/p>\n
His most recent win was against Patrick Corte in October to win the IBF Intercontinental Heavyweight belt.<\/p>\n
Joshua is a bona fide star in the world of boxing, and his fight with the relatively unknown McKeown might be seen as his surprising move toward a return to the top of the heavyweight division.<\/p>\n
McKean and Joshua are reportedly close to a stadium match at London’s O2 Arena in April.<\/p>\n
Speaking on TalkSport’s Fight Night boxing podcast, journalist Gareth A. Davies said Joshua’s next fight will be an unprecedented match against an Australian. <\/p>\n
“He’s an undefeated Australian, and I think he’s going to face Demsey McKean, who’s WBO No. 10 and IBF No. 11,” Davis said.<\/p>\n “It will be a two or three round knockout win for Anthony Joshua. What more do we have to do?<\/p>\n “He hasn’t fought one of the elites yet, but it will happen. You set records, you learn in the game, you build your rankings, and you fight one of elites.
