We asked YouTube star, doctor and up-and-coming boxer Dr. Mike his thoughts on KSI’s next bout with FaZe Temperrr and what’s going on in the influencer boxing scene.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Dr. Mike may be a healer, but he prescribes these hands for anyone who wants to step into the ring with him…and he doesn’t think KSI wants smoke .<\/p>\n

British rapper, YouTuber and white-collar boxer KSI will take on fellow influencer FaZe Temperrr on July 14th at the Misfits x DAZN Series 004 event, which will be streamed exclusively on the Combat Sports platform.<\/p>\n

The match comes as a last-minute shakeup to an event that, just a few days ago, was supposed to feature mixed martial artist Dillon Danis as KSI’s opponent. Danis abruptly pulled out of the match just a week before his fight night, but fans are still excited to see the two influencers fight in the ring either way.<\/p>\n

But Dr. Mike isn’t too enthusiastic about KSI’s latest selection. In fact, he believes influencers are purposely targeting weaker opponents, and instead wants the YouTuber to face off against Slim Albaher.<\/p>\n

Additionally, KSI actually named Dr Mike as a possible opponent late last year, but the brilliant doctor isn’t convinced the Briton is up to the challenge.<\/p>\n

“KSI and his team seem to like picking easier opponents, so I hardly believe a fight between us will ever happen.” I don’t blame him because if he’s interested in the challenge, given his significant experience, I’d rather he fight Slim than the guy he knocked out. I hope his next match is against Jake Paul.<\/p>\n

Influencer boxing experiences lineup shuffles from time to time. It’s because of last-minute injuries, scheduling conflicts, or pre-fight weight gain issues. In 2022, KSI’s match with American YouTuber Alex Wasabi was an unexpected surprise for him after Wasabi suffered a debilitating head injury while sparring and was unable to compete due to health risks. has been switched to a “1 night, 2 matches” event.<\/p>\n

Jake Paul had a similar experience. A bout with Tommy Fury was canceled when the British boxer was unable to travel to the US due to travel difficulties, after which he chose Hasim Rahman his junior as his opponent.<\/p>\n

Dr. Mike calls influencer boxing the ‘positive’ of martial arts<\/h2>\n

That said, Dr. Mike believes influencer boxing is creating a positive (or at least a neutral) effect on the sport itself. especially fought. The event was well received by fans.<\/p>\n
