Again, Manning sits on the front row of his New York career as quarterback for his Giants. <\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">To know one you need one. <\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">Jones and the Giants did what Manning did in New York six times in his 16-year career: a playoff spot. He wants to get the job done, work hard, do the right thing, work the right way.&#8221; increase.&#8221; <\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">The Giants are 9-7-1 this season (Jones is 9-6) to clinch the No. 6 seed in the NFC. His passing was for 3,205 yards, 15 touchdowns, and 5 interceptions, and he rushed for 5.9 yards per carry (708 yards on 120 attempts) and 7 TDs. <\/p>\n<aside aria-label=\"advertisement\" class=\"gnt_m gnt_x gnt_x__lbl gnt_x__al\"\/>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">The 25-year-old Jones has served as four offensive coordinators in four seasons with the Giants and has been consistent in first-year coach Brian Dabor&#8217;s system. He will become a free agent this offseason after general manager Joe Shane and the new regime declined to take his fifth-year option. <\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">Manning and Jones have been talking over the past few weeks. what&#8217;s his advice? <\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">&#8220;Hey, embrace the moment,&#8221; Manning said.  &#8220;This is fun. Don&#8217;t be nervous now. Don&#8217;t worry now.&#8221; <\/p>\n<aside aria-label=\"advertisement\" class=\"gnt_m gnt_x gnt_x__lbl gnt_x__al\"\/>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">The Giants will face the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday (4:30 p.m. ET, FOX) in a rematch of the Christmas Eve thriller that ended with Greg Joseph&#8217;s 61-yard field goal. <\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">&#8220;Hey, it&#8217;s the playoffs. It&#8217;s all about participating,&#8221; Manning said.  &#8220;No one knows how the ball will bounce on Sunday, so I will stay home and cheer hard for the Giants.&#8221; <\/p>\n<aside class=\"gnt_em gnt_em_anc\" id=\"gnt_atomsnc\" data-g-r=\"lazy\" data-gl-method=\"loadAnc\" aria-label=\"Newsletter signup form\"\/>\n<h2 class=\"gnt_ar_b_mt\">Brian Dabor&#8217;s Eli Manning <\/h2>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">The Giants&#8217; ability to win close games is reminiscent of the successful teams Manning played in New York. He waits in line in the cafeteria, then sits down with everyone else and talks about whatever the topic of discussion is.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">&#8220;I think the players appreciate that,&#8221; Manning said.  &#8220;They feel they can trust him. They can approach him and he can listen to them. He&#8217;s honest and will treat everyone the same.&#8221; <\/p>\n<h2 class=\"gnt_ar_b_mt\">Eli Manning in &#8220;The Manning Cast&#8221; <\/h2>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">Over the past two years, Manning has maintained a presence around games and media in a variety of ways. His most visible venture is undoubtedly &#8216;The Manning Cast&#8217;. This is an alternate stream of his ESPN Monday His Night His Football that he and his brother Peyton broadcast remotely through Peyton&#8217;s company, Omaha Productions. <\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">&#8220;It was a lot of fun. Just to stay involved in the football game was fun. That&#8217;s what I was worried about when I retired. It&#8217;s a big part of my life and I want to stay involved in some things.&#8221; I was thinking, and this lets me do it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">Manning talks football whenever he wants, and the two play 10 regular-season games each season, plus playoff games on wild card weekends. The former quarterback enjoys talking to current signal callers and chooses coach brains to interview before the broadcast.<\/p>\n<aside aria-label=\"advertisement\" class=\"gnt_m gnt_x gnt_x__lbl gnt_x__al\"\/>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">Over the past year, Manning said he and Peyton have improved on the technical side of the show.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">&#8220;It&#8217;s still pretty raw,&#8221; Manning said. &#8220;You never have an exact script. They achieved that in October when Barack Obama joined them during the New England Patriots&#8217; game against the Chicago Bears.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">Obama&#8217;s landing was &#8220;wonderful,&#8221; Manning said.  &#8220;I thought he did a great job.&#8221; <\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">Manning had to think a little to figure out who his next dream guest was.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">&#8220;I think[Shaquille O&#8217;Neal],&#8221; he said.  &#8220;We have to get Shaq there.&#8221; <\/p>\n<h2 class=\"gnt_ar_b_mt\">Tom Brady&#8217;s Eli Manning, Buccaneers vs. Dallas Cowboys in &#8216;MNF&#8217;<\/h2>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">Manning wouldn&#8217;t be the first to face Tom Brady in the playoffs. He&#8217;s familiar with the Cowboys. <\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">He expects it to be close in the second postseason game where the &#8220;Manningcast&#8221; works. There aren&#8217;t many guests or questions, Manning said. <\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">&#8220;I&#8217;ll have some,&#8221; Manning said.  &#8220;When it comes to football, I want to keep it.
