The New York Mets have remained quiet about contract negotiations with Carlos Correa since the player’s physical concerns were raised, but SNY’s Andy Martino<\/a> Updated Thursday:<\/p>\n There have been many ongoing discussions between the Mets and Carlos Correa campaigns over the terms of Correa’s contract, much of it between lawyers. [million] We guarantee it,\u201d said Rosenthal. “Again, the question is, to what extent will the language change, will the trade change? [agent Scott] Boras, you don’t want this kind of language because it devalues \u200b\u200bthe contract and creates this uncertainty.<\/i><\/p>\n According to reports, Rosenthal said Correa and the Mets were restructuring their contract and there was “no indication of that.” [the Mets] I want to withdraw my contract. \u201d<\/p>\n With both parties trying to find a compromise, Rosenthal said, “If, for example, Correa spent a certain amount of time on the injured list because of the body part problem in question, future years would be invalidated. Or you will lose your guaranteed money.”<\/p>\n The Mets swooped in last month, reaching an agreement with a two-time All-Star after the San Francisco Giants scrapped a 13-year, $350 million deal. The Astros said at the time that Correa’s fracture was closer to his ankle than his knee.
