Hooker threw for his 31 touchdowns against just his three picks in his first season with Tennessee. The Volunteers improved from his 3\u20137 in 2020 to 7\u20136 and reached the Music City Bowl.<\/p>\n<p>In 2022, Hooker made a leap forward, throwing 27 touchdowns against two interceptions and finishing with a season-ending injury. <span>south carolina <\/span>Following his lead, Tennessee had 11 wins for the first time since &#8217;01.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"m-in-content-ad-row l-inline mm-in-content-ad-row--in-content not-size-a not-size-b not-size-c\" data-ad-group=\"in_content-1\"\/>\n<aside class=\"m-in-content-ad-row l-inline mm-in-content-ad-row--in-content not-size-a not-size-b not-size-d\" data-ad-group=\"in_content-1\"\/>\n<aside class=\"m-in-content-ad-row l-inline mm-in-content-ad-row--in-content not-size-a not-size-c not-size-d\" data-ad-group=\"in_content-1\"\/>\n<aside class=\"m-in-content-ad-row l-inline mm-in-content-ad-row--in-content not-size-b not-size-c not-size-d\" data-ad-group=\"in_content-1\"\/>\n<p>&#8220;I&#8217;m not going to sit here and pretend like I wanted this season to end&#8230;but I&#8217;m very proud of what we&#8217;ve achieved,&#8221; Hooker wrote on Friday. &#8220;And when I try to think of a way to put it into words, <em>we are important now <\/em>It&#8217;s what I keep coming back for.
