I have.<\/p>\n<p>The 28-year-old underwent ankle surgery in 2014 while in the minor leagues. In his eight years in Major League Baseball, he has only once played more than 150 games in a season. Correa has expressed slight concern over injuries last season, and it&#8217;s what puts $315 million in jeopardy over his reported 12 years with the Mets.<\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s reportedly caused his 13-year, $350 million contract with the San Francisco Giants to collapse, but there&#8217;s optimism that New York can secure a star shortstop.<\/p>\n<p>The New York Post&#8217;s Jon Heyman filed a lawsuit Thursday about why Mets owner Steve Cohen is doing everything he can to keep Correa from running away. Heyman also said the two-time All-Star wants to sign a deal because he doesn&#8217;t want to do free agency drama again.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I would be surprised if he (not the MET),&#8221; one person close to the situation told Heyman.<\/p>\n<p>If the reported deal collapses again, Correa will likely be given a contract of diminishing value.If a Gold Glove shortstop wants to sign a contract with the Mets, he must agree to certain injury incentives.
