Stated.<\/p>\n<p>Both are from Birmingham and have been charged with the incident and are being held in custody before appearing in Birmingham Magistrate&#8217;s Court on January 2.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"caas-figure\">\n<div class=\"caas-figure-with-pb\" style=\"max-height: 445px\">\n<div>\n<div class=\"caas-img-container caas-img-loader\" style=\"padding-bottom:70%;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"caas-img caas-lazy has-preview\" alt=\"Digbeth Boxing Day incident\" src=\"https:\/\/s.yimg.com\/ny\/api\/res\/1.2\/0NOZojLOJZh2V9YJP90zJQ--\/YXBwaWQ9aGlnaGxhbmRlcjt3PTk2MDtoPTY2OA--\/https:\/\/media.zenfs.com\/en\/pa_viral_news_uk_120\/00cfd0d0c325a39f4e29ff97e173797c\"\/><noscript><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Digbeth Boxing Day incident\" src=\"https:\/\/s.yimg.com\/ny\/api\/res\/1.2\/0NOZojLOJZh2V9YJP90zJQ--\/YXBwaWQ9aGlnaGxhbmRlcjt3PTk2MDtoPTY2OA--\/https:\/\/media.zenfs.com\/en\/pa_viral_news_uk_120\/00cfd0d0c325a39f4e29ff97e173797c\" class=\"caas-img\"\/><\/noscript><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><figcaption class=\"caption-collapse\">Police outside Crane nightclub in Digbeth (Phil Barnett\/PA)<\/figcaption><\/p>\n<\/figure>\n<p>Fisher was stabbed on the dance floor at a nightclub on Friday and received a 28-day license suspension, police said.<\/p>\n<p>This followed accusations from West Midlands Police that there had been a &#8220;serious administrative failure&#8221; at the venue on the night of Mr Fisher&#8217;s death.<\/p>\n<p>A police review application said Fisher died during a &#8220;dancefloor brawl&#8221; and officers present &#8220;reported the scene of the chaos and evidence of drug use on the premises.&#8221; .<\/p>\n<p>Officers recovered the knife from the crime scene and an autopsy confirmed that Mr. Fisher had died from the stab wound.<\/p>\n<p>His girlfriend Jess Chatwin remembered him in an emotional message posted on Twitter the day after his death.<\/p>\n<p>she wrote: I am very sorry that something like this happened to you. my baby please go home I love Cody Fisher forever.  &#8220;<\/p>\n<p>A police statement attributed to Fisher&#8217;s family said: I lost my best friend. My family and I ask for privacy and respect during this heartbreaking time.<\/p>\n<p>Detective Chief Inspector Ian Ingram of the West Midlands Police Homicide Division said after the two were charged:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have had great support from the public who have really helped us in our investigations so far.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;But we&#8217;re really looking forward to hearing from anyone who has information they haven&#8217;t told us yet.
