DePaul leads the conference 3-0 with wins over Butler, Georgetown and Providence.<\/p>\n<p>Sophomore Aneetha Morrow is a powerhouse for the Blue Demons, averaging 25.8 points and 12 rebounds per game this season. Last season in Omaha, she tallied her 41 points and her 18 rebounds, helping DePaul win the meeting on her Feb. 27, 90-84.<\/p>\n<p>However, DePaul is a multi-female show. Darione Rodgers is averaging 19.9 points per game and has a team-high 80 assists.<\/p>\n<p>The Blue Demons continue to be a team that likes to increase the pace on offense and turnovers on defense. This season, DePaul has had 242 turnovers in his 14 games, which is more than his 17 turns per game.<br \/><span style=\"color:#0000FF;\"><br \/><strong>Scout #21 Clayton (8-4, 2-2 BIG EAST)<\/strong><\/span><br \/>After opening the season with a seven-game winning streak that included three overranked opponents, Clayton recently put in a rough patch. With four losses in his five games, the Blue Jays fell to the undefeated St. Johns, No. 21 in Arkansas, No. 2 in Stanford, and No. 8 in Connecticut. Clayton had his 34.6% shooting percentage (107 of 309) in his last five games, and his 218-to-163 rebounding percentage.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color:#0000FF;\">Keys To the Game Saturday, December 31st<br \/>Ball security:<\/span><\/strong>    Clayton handled basketball well, taking just 11 combined turnovers in two games when they lost to No. 2 Stamford and No. 8 Connecticut. It must continue against DePaul.<br \/><span style=\"color:#0000FF;\"><strong>Early production: <\/strong><\/span>Shooting well in the first quarter after getting off to a slow start against the Cardinals and Huskies does wonders for Clayton&#8217;s confidence.<br \/><strong><span style=\"color:#0000FF;\">rebound:<\/span><\/strong>    In the last two games, the Blue Jays have rebounded 50-25 and 59-27.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color:#0000FF;\">Creighton players to watch<br \/><dfn>morgan marie<\/dfn> When <dfn>Emma Roncic<\/dfn>:<\/span><\/strong>    Ronsiek and Maly are the main defensive missions on Morrow. Delaying Morrow&#8217;s attack is important, but it may be more important than Marie and Roncic going on the attacking side to allow Morrow to work on defense.<br \/><span style=\"color:#0000FF;\"><br \/><strong>The Blue Jays found success in Chicago<\/strong><\/span><br \/>In his last four trips to Chicago, Clayton has found a winning formula.<\/p>\n<p>December 29, 2018 W, 85-82 (McGrath Phillips Arena)<br \/>January 31, 2020 W, 63-61 (Winstrust Arena)<br \/>February 20, 2021 W, 83-72 (Winstrust Arena)<br \/>February 3, 2022 W, 77-68 (Winstrust Arena)<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#0000FF;\"><strong>Victory came in a unique way<\/strong><\/span><br \/>The Blue Jays have had unexpected results in each of their four wins over DePaul over the last four seasons.<\/p>\n<p>In Clayton&#8217;s 85-82 victory on December 29, 2018, the Blue Jays scored a career-high 20 points from Brooke Kissinger. She finished with her 7\/8 from the field and won with her 6\/7 from long distance. In her two seasons at Creighton, Kissinger did not exceed her seven points in any other game in 2018-19.<\/p>\n<p>Playing without 2019 BIG EAST Player of the Year Jaylin Agnew, Clayton recovered from a 40-21 halftime deficit to win 63-61. Olivia Elgar scored a career-high 28 points, including 16 in the second half.<\/p>\n<p>Winning 2021-22 season forced Blue Jays to play without starting point guard <dfn>tatum renbao<\/dfn> or backup <dfn>Molly Morgensen<\/dfn> due to injury or illness.
