McKersie will officially begin his appointment at Ithaca on February 6th.<\/p>\n<p>McCarthy comes to South Hill after spending the past two seasons at Emerson College as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator. The Lions finished his season regular as the No. 2 seed in NEWMAC this fall, before achieving his most successful season in program history, 10-3-6, and ultimately falling to his NEWMAC championship. rice field.<\/p>\n<p>He also worked as an Assistant Coach at Chatham University from 2019-2021 and has a Master&#8217;s Degree in Psychology. McCarthy was a four-year member of his college men&#8217;s football team at Allegheny and captained him for two years, and in 2018 he was named second team he&#8217;s all-he NCAC. .
