The high school boys’ and girls’ district soccer tournament started last week, and the district semi-finals and finals will be held this week as well.<\/p>\n

The men’s teams of North Marion, Lake Weir and Bellevue all spent several weeks as top three seeds. Surprisingly, Lake Weir and North Marion matched in the second round.<\/p>\n

Despite being undefeated, the Forest Boys have no home field advantage in the championship round, with three men’s teams eliminated in the first round.<\/p>\n

Forest Heads To Championship Game<\/p>\n

The Wildcat boys are fit for the district tournament championship game against Gainesville on Wednesday. They beat Southlake 2-0 in extra time, which he won in his first round match on Thursday. In Round 2, Forest defeated Buchholz to complete their season sweep with a 1\u20130 shutout.<\/p>\n
