Last night, his manager Terry Thompson claimed it was a “joke”.<\/p>\n

A source said: “There was a small gathering at his house and people were drinking spirits and smoking cigarettes. <\/p>\n

“He was smoking white powder.”<\/p>\n

His wife, Lindsey, 35, was often spotted in the ring after the fight, but his three children were believed to be absent.<\/p>\n

Brooke’s last match was almost a year ago when he defeated bitter rival Amir Khan. He wrote on Twitter in his 2012:<\/p>\n

“He was seen taking cocaine. <\/p>\n

“Boxing is a professional sport for those who have discipline and respect.”<\/p>\n

Brook announced his retirement in May after winning 40 of 43 professional fights. <\/p>\n

However, he recently said he would return to the ring in search of a suitable offer. <\/p>\n

He has been touted as an opponent for light middleweight Liam Smith, who defeated Chris Eubank Jr. last weekend.<\/p>\n

A friend of England and Manchester City footballer Kyle Walker, Brooke grew up in Sheffield’s council housing. <\/p>\n

He started boxing at the age of 12, turned professional at 18 and quickly won a title belt.<\/p>\n

However, he had problems outside the ring. <\/p>\n

In 2007, he was stabbed in the buttocks outside a Sheffield nightclub.<\/p>\n

Later that year, he was slashed three times with a machete in Tenerife, requiring 32 metal staples.<\/p>\n

In 2014, he defeated Sean Porter in California to become the IBF World Welterweight Champion.<\/p>\n

In 2017, he lost the fight while suffering a broken eye socket.<\/p>\n

In 2018, he admitted that he has struggled with depression since, recalling: <\/p>\n

“It was a very dark time. <\/p>\n

“I needed a lot of counselors. <\/p>\n

“Words cannot express how depressed I was.”<\/p>\n

Manager Thompson said of the party clip:<\/p>\n

“They were at his house and they were laughing. <\/p>\n

“They were joking. <\/p>\n
