Ava Churchill scored in the 72nd minute as the Aptos High women’s soccer team beat hosts Harbor 1-0 to remain unbeaten in the Santa Cruz Coast Athletic League match on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
Churchill took a free kick straight from the 25-yard line by Alexa Castaneda. Castaneda’s kick hit the top goal post and bounced 10 yards back onto the field, where Churchill sent the ball into the top right corner of the net.<\/p>\n
Goaltender Alessandra Zuniga made three saves for the Mariners (9-3-1, 5-0-0).<\/p>\n
