{"id":10462,"date":"2023-01-24T05:43:08","date_gmt":"2023-01-24T05:43:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/atswins.ai\/blog\/k-state-womens-basketball-celebrates-annual-team-harry-game\/"},"modified":"2023-01-24T05:43:08","modified_gmt":"2023-01-24T05:43:08","slug":"k-state-womens-basketball-celebrates-annual-team-harry-game","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/atswins.ai\/blog\/k-state-womens-basketball-celebrates-annual-team-harry-game\/","title":{"rendered":"K State Women&#8217;s Basketball Celebrates Annual &#8216;Team Harry&#8217; Game"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> [ad_1]<br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Manhattan, Kansas (KSNT) \u2013 In 2014, Hally Yust was diagnosed with a rare cancer and sadly passed away.<\/p>\n<p>Harry is a big basketball fan, especially women&#8217;s basketball in State K, and even asked for a season ticket as a Christmas present.<\/p>\n<p>When Harry died, state women&#8217;s basketball head coach Jeff Mitty attended her funeral, beginning a special relationship between the Yust family and the Wildcat basketball team.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;[Mittie\u2019s] &#8220;And all the teams he&#8217;s had in the last eight years,&#8221; said Jenny Yust, Harry&#8217;s mother.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Team Harry&#8221; is a non-profit organization established by the Yust family after Harry&#8217;s death. The group&#8217;s efforts are aimed at scholarships and getting local fans into the game.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I feel like Coach Mitty taught us, especially my husband and I, and our entire organization about selflessness,&#8221; said Jenny Yust. &#8220;You will never know [Mittie] I am the coach of the women&#8217;s DI group.  \u201d<\/p>\n<aside class=\"ad-unit ad-unit--mr1_ab\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>Team Harry&#8217;s three goals are listed on the organization&#8217;s website.<br \/>-Share God&#8217;s Word<br \/>&#8211; love God&#8217;s people<br \/>&#8211; Encourage God&#8217;s People<\/p>\n<p>Click here for more information on Team Harry.<\/p>\n<p>K-State women&#8217;s basketball warmed up in pink &#8216;Team Hally&#8217; shirts ahead of their match against TCU on Saturday, January 21st.
