SACRAMENTO, Calif.—Tray Lyles scored a season-high 24 points, Harrison Barnes scored 15 of 20 points in Sacramento’s record first quarter, and the Kings scored against short-handed Memphis Monday night. They beat the Grizzlies 133-100.<\/p>\n
The Kings made 12 3-pointers in just 13 attempts in the first quarter, tying an NBA record for 47 points. But Sacramento didn’t finish the game until he beat Memphis 33-10 in the fourth quarter.<\/p>\n
Lyles was 6-8 out of the 3-point range for the Kings (27-19), who have won seven of their last eight games.<\/p>\n
“Good,” said Lyles. “We have one more game on Wednesday. Let’s see if we can redo it.”<\/p>\n
Domantas Sabonis had 14 points, 11 assists and 10 rebounds for his sixth triple-double of the season. Sabonis leads the NBA with 36 double-doubles.<\/p>\n
Keegan Murray also had 20 points and De’Aaron Fox had 17 points and 10 assists.<\/p>\n
“It’s a great team win,” Kings coach Mike Brown said. “I thought we were good defensively in the second half.”<\/p>\n
Desmond Bain scored 21 points in Memphis (31-16) playing without Ja Morant and Stephen Adams. The Grizzlies have lost three in a row following his 11-game winning streak.<\/p>\n
Brandon Clark said, “They shot the ball really well tonight. We didn’t have an answer.”<\/p>\n
Jaren Jackson Jr. had 19 points and Dillon Brooks had 13 points and 6 assists. The Grizzlies will visit Golden State on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
