(Boston Red Sox) and Wendell Perez (Tigers).

Bush is listed with a score of 55 on the 20-80 scouting scale by MLB Pipeline. This translates to an above-average starter at the major league level.

His carrying card is the bat, as Bush ranks with 50 Hitting Tools, 60 Power, 45 Running, 45 Arms, and 40 Fielding.

According to the MLB Pipeline scouting report, Bush can hit with both average and power thanks to his approach, balance, incredible hand-eye coordination, bat speed and strength. They write that he has a similar offensive profile to Max Muncy, but Bush is a better pure hitter.

Bush isn’t known for his defensive value, but he’s put a lot of effort into improving his quickness and arm. They also report that evaluators around MLB are impressed that he’s become a decent defender at second base, but he’s still great at first base and has recently started learning left field. I was in the field.

306/.445/.667 with 11 home runs and 29 RBI in 31 games before being promoted to Triple-A Oklahoma City.

After his promotion, Bush quickly made an impact on OKC, hitting a home run in his first game with the team. He finished the season batting .266/.343/.480 with 21 homers and 79 RBIs in Triple-A.

516 between double-A and triple-A and scored 118 runs to lead the minors. He also ranked him third in 70 extra base hits, fifth in 108 RBIs, and sixth in 32 home runs.

Bush was also recently drafted 54th overall in the league by Baseball America and 59th overall by Baseball Prospectus.

Will Michael Bush make an impact on the Dodgers in 2023?

Bush has nothing left to prove in the minor leagues, and with the Dodgers entering the youth movement in 2023, he should get a chance to make his MLB debut. I got the chance to compete for a job as a left fielder.

If Bush fails to earn a spot on the Opening Day roster, he should be one of the first players called when a position player is needed.

Bush’s offensive potential could make him one of the frontrunners for the 2023 National League Rookie of the Year award. But he could also face competition from many of the Dodgers’ prospects, including Miguel Vargas, James He Outman and Bobby. Miller and Gavin Stone are expected to contribute to the big league club this season.

Have you subscribed to Dodger Blue’s YouTube channel?
