Women’s football welcomes four transfers for spring season – UK Athletics

Lexington, Kentucky – Kentucky Women’s Soccer has announced four transfers for the Spring 2023 season, with Marz Josephson, Grace Philpotts, Mia Bookhard and Caitlin Fischnick all set to join the roster.

Between them, the group has a combined 11 years of Division I football experience and 123 appearances. Learn more about each newcomer below.

Marz Josephson – goalie

class: graduate student

home town: Apex, North Carolina

Previous school: University of North Carolina

Josephson spent four years at Chapel Hill from 2019-2022, reaching two NCAA Finals and three National Semifinal appearances. In his 2019 freshman year, the goalie started 16 games for the Tarr Heels, where he averaged 0.56 goals and a .688 save percentage. Josephson missed his sophomore season and his junior season due to injury, but last season he appeared in nine games, only allowing him three goals and posting a .800 save percentage. I’m back. Josephson graduated from UNC with a degree in Exercise and Sports Science. Grace Philpotts – defender

Philpotts arrives in Lexington after three seasons in the Big East with the DePaul Blue Demons. Caitlin Fishnick – Forward

Previous school: University of Wisconsin-Green Bay

Fishnick started nine games for Phoenix in 2022, contributing one goal, one assist and three shots on target. In high school, Fishnick was named to the All-State First Team during his senior year, was named Conference Player of the Year in his junior season, and won the Souk his Prairie High School Conference title to his championship. helped me to As a freshman in high school, Fishnick said he scored 45 goals and tallied 103 points.
