Bryan College Station, Texas – The Texas A&M women’s basketball team lost Sunday’s game to Ole Miss (57-38) inside Reed Arena.
Playing with just seven players for the fourth time this season, the Aggies once again got the job done in defense but were unable to convert their offensive opportunities. The Maroons & Whites trailed Ole Miss by 16 points below his scoring average for the season. In the 2022-23 season, Texas A&M managed to keep every opponent below average scoring. The Aggies limited the Rebels to 35.1% shooting from the field (20 of 57). This is the second lowest percentage for the season.
Aaliyah Patty He recorded his second double-double of the season and recorded 13 double-doubles.th of her career. She paced the Aggies with points (14), rebounds (10) and assists (3). Jada Malone Recorded 10 points, 4 rebounds and 2 steals.
Ole Miss scored 11 straight points to claim a 13-4 lead at the 2:57 mark of the first quarter, but the Aggies are back in the contest.Maroon & White he closed the period with a 9-2 run keikei green They sank a pair of midrange jumpers in the final 1:41 and closed the gap to 15-13 at the break.
The Aggies took the lead just over a minute into the second quarter with a layup to Ole Miss 17-15. Elinie Kindredhowever, the Rebels stormed out, outscoring A&M 19-2 in the final seven minutes to take a 36-21 lead at halftime.
Texas A&M put up a strong defense in the third quarter, holding the Rebels to a 15.4% (2/13) shooting percentage and eight points. This is his second time Ole Miss has held his single digits in the 2022-23 quarter. Patty cut Ole Miss Edge at the 2:37 mark to make him 41-31. He made all three shots in this period, including a 15-foot jumper. The Rebels came into the final break with his 44 to 33 advantage.
The Maroons & Whites again cut the margin to 10 points with Kindred’s classic 3-point play at the 7:53 mark in the fourth quarter, but Ole Miss closed out the game with an 11-2 run.

The little things are that we have to do better at the end of the game. We didn’t do well tonight, but we’ll learn from those mistakes and try to do better next time.”
