post game quotes
head coach Joni Taylor
In Q4…

“We ran out of gas. We have to be resilient and mentally tough when the shots don’t fall. We put so much pressure on every shot And when those shots don’t fall, that’s the disappointment we lead to inflicting. You can’t let your defensive success depend on your offensive success.”

In a defensive battle…

“Ole Miss’s defense is great. They’re top in several defensive categories in the country and in our league. They scored 36 points at halftime, 31 of which were in transitions and our turns. “It’s 24 in turnovers and transitions. That’s their plan A and we gave it to them. They did a much better job of controlling it in the second half.” I thought, and then I could see the ball go into the hole.”

junior guard keikei green
As for how the team will get through this…

“Joni [Taylor] It calms us down a lot, watching her on the sidelines and seeing how she doesn’t change her demeanor or face. ”

senior forward Aaliyah Patty
About where the game is going…

“Today didn’t go the way we wanted it to, both personally and as a team. I think we have to be mentally tough in the fourth quarter as we continue to battle fatigue and adversity. I just let too many things go on.’ We got the offensive rebound and needed to defend the three better. They made two big threes in the closing stages. The little things are that we have to do better at the end of the game. We didn’t do well tonight, but we’ll learn from those mistakes and try to do better next time.”
