Recent Mississippi State men’s basketball stories are painfully lacking. Saturday was no exception. The Bulldogs beat the Florida Gators 61-59 at the Humphrey Coliseum.
In the final moments of the game, the Bulldogs had a chance to surge forward enough to secure victory in what was deemed a contest in which the team had to do just that.
MSU head coach Chris Jans and his players met with the media after the contest.In retrospect, Jans was lamenting how he felt it was too late for his team to lose the game. .
“Frustration is a good word and there are some other words you can put in there,” he said. Try to control your emotions, don’t talk too much, talk to your team easily, probably not what you think it is and be fairly reserved.

“But tonight was a little different. In hindsight, I told them I felt like I lost the game in the first 10 minutes of the game. It’s just that I didn’t play loyal to some people, they know how they have to play. It was a battle as slight as the battle had been fought for a long time.
